Next week will be halfway! In general, I feel like the pregnancy so far has not been too hard. I'm definitely getting my energy back. I haven't had an afternoon nap in a couple weeks. I have had more hormonal issues though, crying for no reason... having a mood swing into irritable... my right eye vision has gone wacky. My belly itches and I see a rash coming but Nicolas doesn't see much... so hopefully, it's nothing and will just go away.
I'm so thankful that the ultrasound went well. All the measurements were normal and we got to watch the ultrasound while the technician did her thing. Watching your baby in your belly on the screen is pretty cool. Watching the baby move around in there is amazing, seeing his little hand in a fist, stretching to the wall and curling and uncurling his fingers. It was a pretty emotional day especially for my new hormonal state. We had been waiting, hoping that everything would go ok and it did and finally it was ok for us to be excited and totally accept the pregnancy. I mean, we are finally allowed to get excited and 'get our hopes up'. So it was like finding out you are pregnant all over again but in a 'hey, it's ok' type way. So, by the next day I was going around thinking: "It's a boy! There's a baby boy in my belly!" "Awesome :)".
This weekend we made a pumpkin pie, yum :) We also dog sat Joe. This week Nico goes to Jacksonville, and I will join him there on Wednesday evening.
We have our next regular appointment on October 29th.
So, it doesn't feel like I am growing that fast, but then I try to wear something that I was wearing the week before and it just doesn't fit. Even the maternity jeans I got early on are tight because my legs and butt and hips are starting to grow. I'm growing all around not just in my belly. But I don't feel 'fat' yet... just differently shaped. So, I'm pretty much in maternity wear now. I have another generous friend who loaned me a ton of stuff! Thanks!
